Dr. Frank H. Slavik, Jr.

Dr. Frank H. Slavik, Jr., age 88, of Hot Springs, passed away, Saturday, April 30, 2022.

He was born on March 30, 1934, in Refugio, Texas, the son of Frank H. Slavik, Sr. and Mary Evelyn Cable Slavik.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Frank was a United States Marine Corp Veteran and was a Doctor of Psychology.  On January 28, 1961, he received a Bachelor of Science and Geology, then September 1, 1969 -August 1, 1970, he received a diploma of Residency of Clinical Psychology, August 21, 1971, received a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Austin, Texas, May 18, 1972, he was licensed to practice psychology in Arkansas, and on November 9, 1980, he became a member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnotist.  He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Eric Slavik; two daughters, Greta Branch and Gwen Metzler; two grandsons, Michael Branch and Peter Branch; the mother of his children, Jamie Wittenau; extended family and a host of friends.

Burial of remains will take place at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 21, 2022, in the Fort Smith National Veteran’s Cemetery, 522 Garland Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home of Hot Springs.
