Frances Louise Smith Busch, 85, of Little Rock, presently residing in Hot Springs, passed from this life on August 11, 2015. She was born on February 22, 1930 to Carrie Louise (Harper) Smith and Forrest G. Smith, Jr. She grew up in Hillcrest at the Valley View Apartments which her grandfather and father built. Allsop Park was her backyard where the "Valley View Kids" played and swam in the apartments' spring-fed pool. Frances graduated from Little Rock High School (Central) in 1948. She attended Little Rock Junior College (UALR), where she lettered in swimming and pledged Tri-Delta Sorority.
She married and moved to Fayetteville where her husband attended school. They later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where she was known for her decorating. Their home was in the Christmas Parade of Homes each year. She was a good cook, excellent seamstress, and loved watching football and basketball. She returned to Little Rock in 1965 and managed the Valley View Apartments for many years.
Frances was a member of Pulaski Heights Presbyterian Church for over fifty years where she served as a deacon and an elder, and was active in the clown and caring ministries, teaching of children and parish life.
Preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Christian Busch, and many aunts and uncles, she is survived by her daughter, Karen Busch Osborne (Andy) of Little Rock; granddaughter, Erika Osborne of Benton; grandson, Ryan Osborne (Sally) of North Little Rock; great-granddaughters, Mary Gabriella and Adalyn Rose Osborne of North Little Rock; and her son, Kurt Busch (Marquita) and grandson, Austin Busch, all of Hot Springs.
Services will be Saturday, August 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Pulaski Heights Presbyterian Church, officiated by Chaplain Teddy Frye and Rev. Ruskin Falls, followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Pulaski Heights Presbyterian Church's Food Pantry.
