Foy F. Kirksey, age 89, of Amity, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 in Arkadelphia. He was born October 4, 1926 in Clark County to the late Arlie and Josephine Small Kirksey. He proudly served his country during World War II and was honorably discharged from the Army in December of 1945. Foy worked as a fireman on the Air Force Base in Warner Robbins, Georgia from which he retired with disability following an accident. He moved back to his boyhood home in Amity where he loved to garden and share his produce with his many friends and neighbors.

Survivors are his son, Dean Kirksey of Florida and his daughter, Debbie Davis of Georgia; a brother, Doyn Kirksey of Texas; sisters, Lennie Buck of Arkadelphia, Verna Alsobrook of Texas and Novella Compton of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives and also his loyal companion, Tom, the cat.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 1st at Oak Grove Community Church in Alpine with Mark Evans officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 1:00 pm at the church. Burial with military honors will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
