Floyd Ray Thomason, 92, of Pearcy, AR peacefully left this earth to go be with JESUS on August 25th, 2022.

Ray was born to Albert and Annis Thomason in Pearcy, AR, on November 21st, 1929, the youngest of six children. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, devout Christian, and well respected member of the community.

Ray was a corporal in the Army where he was stationed in Korea for 11 months during the Korean War. Ray was a faithful man who loved the LORD, his family, and his church. He was an active member of Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from Keith Smith in 1991 after 39 years, allowing him more time to do the things he loved like tending to his garden, carpentry, and road trips with his loving wife.

Ray was preceded in death by both of his parents Albert and Annis Thomason. He was the last surviving child of his 5 siblings Barney, Mildred, Cleburn, Pauline, and Charlie.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Lola June Thomason, four daughters and one son. Cecila Campbell of Hot Springs, Alfreda (Mark) Holloway of Arizona, Janet Cockman of Hot Springs, Doug (Connie) Thomason of Hot Springs and Connie (Mike) Newman of Pearcy, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6:00PM-8:00PM, Monday evening.

The family would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Sandra Garrett for the wonderful love and compassion she has shown to our family in the past year, as well as Kindred Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.

Pallbearers will be Mike Newman, Jason Newman, Charles Abernathy, James Christman, Bradley Abernathy, and Tyler Abernathy.
