Floyd E. Parnell, 96 of Mabelvale passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 in Bryant. He was born on November 9, 1915 in Carlisle, Arkansas. He was the son of Harry and Alma Parnell.
Floyd was a retired retail salesman, and a Staff Sergeant and WWII Veteran of the United States Army Air Force. He was a deacon and long time member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Mabelvale.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Ann Parnell, his parents, a sister Mildred Mathis and brothers David Glen Parnell and William J. "Bill" Parnell.
Survivors include his sisters Wanda Schertz of New Braunfels, Texas, Francine Whitacre of Sacramento, California, a brother Harry Dale Parnell of Universal City, Texas, and a host of cousins and family in Lonoke County.
Funeral services will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church in Mabelvale on Wednesday with visitation from Noon until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m., burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander.
