Floyd Dwayne Blue, 69, of Little Rock, passed away May 12, 2010. Born in Cleveland, Arkansas on January 27, 1941 to Floyd Malcolm and Velma Scroggins Blue, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Entergy. He was a member of the American Legion in Greenbrier, Arkansas. A member of Sandstone Drive Church of Christ, he was a deacon and church treasurer there for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Stover Blue; daughters, Renea Rushin and husband, Michael of Little Rock and Stephanie Brown and husband, Keith of Wilmington, North Carolina; brothers, Lowell Blue (Joan) of Southhaven, Mississippi and Carroll Blue (Gayle) of Wilmington, Delaware; sisters, Cloise Green (Bill) of McKinney, Texas and Barbara Jean Crowell (Charles) of Clinton, Arkansas; grandchildren, Abby Rushin and Zach Rushin of Little Rock and Kellen Brown and Carter Brown of Wilmington, North Carolina.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Mike Steiner. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park at Alexander. The family will greet friends Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
