Florine Standridge, age 87 of Sardis, Arkansas, passed away January 6, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. She was born on February 5, 1928 in Sardis, Arkansas; she was the daughter of Gilbert and Bessie Hobby.
Mrs. Standridge was an office clerk for Kellwood Company for 15 years and she was also a member of the Baptist Christian Faith and enjoyed quilting, camping, and raking leaves.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ted A. Standridge, her oldest son Teddy W. Standridge; her sister Lonie Pettus; and two brothers Calvin Hobby and J.C. Hobby, along with a great-granddaughter Toni Davidson.
Survivors include her sons Gary D. Standridge and Cary G. Standridge; sister Ethel (Carl) Maddox; brother Richard (Faye) Hobby; granddaughters Cassie Standridge, Cassandra Morris and Nicolette Standridge; great-granddaughters Jordan Conwill and Jessica Davidson, our mom's special love, whom mom helped raise from when Jessica was just 4 days old; and grandsons Wesley Standridge, Duke Morris and Donovan Morris; and one great-great- granddaughter Anyston Jackson,.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 11, 2016 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel at 7700 Highway 107, Sherwood, Arkansas with a burial following at 1:00 p.m. at Wolfe Cemetery in Oppelo, Arkansas.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, but flowers are also accepted since they are a testament to God's beauty.
