Florence Cude

Florence Irene Cude "Florine", 91, of North Little Rock passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. She was born February 4, 1924 in North Little Rock to Thomas Clarence and Jewell Duke Adams.
Florine was a graduate of North Little Rock High School. She was the first female hire by the North Little Rock Police Department as a secretary to the Chief for 10 years. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church in NLR and loved singing in the Senior Adult Choir until she was unable to attend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Cude; son, Danny Cude; parents; sisters, Helen Scrape, Hattie Rowland, Lillian Watson and a brother, Earl Adams. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Smith (Willard); sister, Bettye Butler (Charlie, deceased); grandchildren, Cheryl Bing (Chris), Brent Smith, Justin Staley (Christie), Taylor Staley (Sarah) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Brother Paul Friendly Chapel Soup Kitchen, 116 South Pine, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 18 followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
