Finos D. Hill, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence on November 1, 2023. He was a man of great faith, unwavering love for his family, and a passion for old cars. Born on January 18, 1934, in Bryant, Arkansas, Finos lived a rich and fulfilling life.

Finos adored his wife, Peggy Hill. Their unwavering love and companionship were evident to all who knew them as they were often found holding hands and sharing a deep connection that transcended words. Together they built a beautiful life filled with cherished memories.

In 2019, Finos came to Christ and was baptized. His newfound faith became an integral part of his life as he continued to grow in his spiritual journey. He found solace and strength in God's presence and shared this uplifting experience with those around him.

Family was everything to Finos, and he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. Fridays were especially dear to his heart as he eagerly awaited the arrival of his grandchildren for their weekend adventures together. From spontaneous trips to Taco Bell and McDonald's to exploring their favorite spots, Finos created lasting memories with each one of them.

In addition to spending time with his grandchildren, Finos had a passion for researching family ancestry. He delved into the past with enthusiasm and never forgot anyone's birthday. His attention to detail and dedication to preserving family history will be remembered by all who benefited from his knowledge.

Finos is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Melverta "Peggy" Hill of Benton, Arkansas. Their bond served as an inspiration for all couples striving for lifelong love and commitment. He is also survived by his children: Tammy Whitley and husband Jim of Benton, Arkansas; Lisa Murphy and husband John of Little Rock, Arkansas; Kathy Cummings of Benton, Arkansas; Martha Strong of Dayton, Texas; Gary Cummings and wife Becky of Benton, Arkansas; Roger Cummings of Fouke, Arkansas; and Carl Cummings and wife Sharon of Benton, Arkansas.

His legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren: Logan Whitley and wife Alana, Lukas Whitley, Austin Cummings, Brandon Cummings, TJ Cummings, Jessica Hyatt, Robert Strong, Joseph Strong, Jason Rodriguez, Jessica Cummings, Shelby Cummings, Casey Cummings, and Scott Cummings. Finos was immensely proud of his twenty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He is also survived by his loving sister Doris Stuckey and husband Larry of Benton, Arkansas; and brothers: Wayne Hill of Bryant, Arkansas, Doyle Hill and wife Mary of Benton, Arkansas, and Glen Hill and wife Glenda of Benton, Arkansas. Their unwavering support throughout Finos' life brought him comfort during both the highs and lows.

Finos was preceded in death by his parents: Lee Jackson and Emma (Williams) Hill; his son James Cummings; and his siblings: Eddie Hill, Linda McDermott, Nadine McCutcheon, Margie Buggar, Jewel Dean Chism, Aline Bryant, and two infants.

The visitation for Finos D. Hill will be held at Smith Family Funeral Home in Benton on Friday, November 3rd from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will take place at New Beginnings Church in Bryant on Saturday, November 4th at 11:00 AM. Following the service, a burial ceremony will be held at Rosemont Cemetery in Benton.

Finos D. Hill will forever be remembered as a devoted family man with a kind heart. His love for God and family created lasting memories that will be cherished by all who knew him. He leaves behind a host of family and friends who will deeply miss his presence but will forever hold him in their hearts.
