Faye Nell Chapmond

Faye Nell Chapmond, age 73, of Pearcy, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 30, 2021.

She was born on August 14, 1947, in Bismarck, the daughter of Calvin Hancock and Alpha Herrin Hancock. On December 9, 1966, she married the love of her life, Charles Chapmond. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Doyle Hancock, Dayton Hancock and Harold Hancock; and one sister, Lorene Whittle.

Faye was a Christian in her faith. She was a loving wife, mother, MeMaw and friend. She took care of all of her grandchildren until their first day of school and beyond. She called it MeMaw’s Daycare. She was the sweetest person and always gave the best advice. Faye was beautiful inside and out and was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Chapmond; her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Jill Chapmond; her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Forrest Powell; four grandchildren, Michael Chapmond, Shawn Chapmond, Shelby Powell and Brooke Powell, all of Pearcy; her brother, Pete Hancock of Hot Springs; her sister, Linda Ursery of Bismarck; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 5, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Bro. Bernard Strother officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Oak Bower Cemetery in Bismarck.

Pallbearers will be Forrest Powell, Richard McWilliams, Steve Chapmond, Jerry Shirley, Charles Hardage and Terry Hardage.
