Faye White Cowart, age 91, of Lodi, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

She was born on November 10, 1931, in Lodi, the daughter of Christopher Homer White and Lou Etta Kennedy White.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clidus Cowart; her infant child; her grandson, Billy Shane Cowart; and her granddaughter, Brandi Taylor Porter Chancellor.

Faye was a lifelong faithful member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church where she was the pianist for 29 years and the church clerk. On July 22, 1950, Faye married the love of her life, Clidus Cowart. She was a wonderful homemaker seamstress, florist, and cake decorator. Faye lived her entire life as the true meaning of the scriptures in the Bible in Proverbs 31, the Virtuous Woman. Faye was the best wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Leroy and Reda Cowart of Idabel, Oklahoma, Marsha and Thomas McElroy of Hot Springs, Darrell and Beverley Cowart of Magnet Cove, and Scott and Velva Cowart of Texarkana; her nine grandchildren, Angela Bulhoes, Jeremy Taylor, Matt Cowart, Levi Cowart II, Blake Cowart, Rusty Cowart, Kelly Cowart, Jessica Cowart, and Jami Mosley; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 26, 2023, at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Cowart and Bro. Donnie Davis officiating.

Visitation will be held Monday, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the services, at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.

Interment will be in the Lodi Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tracy Parker, Graig Cowart, Kaine Porter, Marc Cowart, Mike Putz, and Deric Putz.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Hulsey and his team, Elite Home Health and Hospice, and the loving staff at National Park Hospital.
