Faye Tallant Borland, 92, was born May 17, 1932 in Glenwood, Arkansas to Arthur Bunyan Tallant and Flora Sigman Tallant. She peacefully met her Lord and Savior on June 23, 2024 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She attended Central School near Malvern and graduated from Malvern High School where she met and married her husband James Lawrence Borland
They moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the Fingerprinting Division of the F.B.I., before returning to Arkansas when James was employed by Reynold Metal Company and Faye managed Dr. Tommy Roebuck’s dental office.
Faye taught herself to play both the piano and organ and was an accomplished oil painter. She and James were faithful members of Third Street Baptist Church.
Faye was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her siblings Azalee Duke, Clyde Tallant, Denzel “Jack” Tallant, Marie Groody and Geneva Allen; grandchildren, Brooke Babinski and Jonathan Bost
She is survived by her children, Rebecca Bost (David), David Borland (Clemencia) and Daniel Borland; her brother, Max Tallant; her grandchildren, Dennis Bost (Delta), Kelly Spratt, James A. Borland, Cassie Borland, Lauren Borland, Ashley Morse (Michael) and Cecily Borland; 9 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
There will be a graveside service on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery in Arkadelphia.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Twin Rivers for the loving care given to Faye and everyone who visited her or sent cards and gifts.
