Everette "Leon" Anderson, age 81, of Mount Ida, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. He was born on May 4, 1938 in Story, the son of Rev. Jodie Anderson and Retha Kinsey Anderson. On December 27, 1955, he was married to Dorothy Waddell. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Bob Anderson. Mr. Anderson was retired from the United States Air Force and as a supervisor for Falcon Jet. He was a member and deacon at Lake Ouachita Baptist Church, a 33rd degree Mason and Shriner. A pilot, he was also a licensed flight instructor and enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Anderson of Mount Ida; four children and their spouses, Cherryl and Randy Farr of Mount Ida, Diane Justus of North Little Rock, Robert and Johanna Anderson of Moore, Oklahoma and Alan Anderson of Benton; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers, Lloyd Anderson of Mount Ida and Ray Anderson of Hot Springs; and his nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 2, 2019, in the Lake Ouachita Baptist Church with Bro. Ty Huitt officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 1:00 PM until service time, at the church. Interment will be in Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force. Pallbearers will be Doug Anderson, Darin Anderson, Davin Anderson, Andy Adams, Ron Bell and Raymond Stoker. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
