Everett Rowland

Everett DeLon Rowland, 78, of Bryant, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at his home. He was born February 4, 1940 at Washita, Arkansas to Lum and Viva Montgomery Rowland. Everett most enjoyed cattle farming and visiting with family and friends. Everett served this country in the 3710 BMTS Air Force unit and worked over 30 years as Arkansas State Surveyor. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a 33rd degree Mason, Illustrious Potentate 2004 Scimitar Shrine Temple, and a member of the Royal Order of Jesters Court 12. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lisa Rowland, a son, Randy Rowland, a brother, Howard Rowland and a sister, Elouise Elston. He is survived by his son, Steve Rowland of North Little Rock; daughter, Christa Rowland of New York; brother, Darrell Rowland of Jacksonville; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and Barbara Rowland, his former wife and mother of Steve and Randy, and Everett's caregiver for the last few months of his life.

Special thanks go to the Saline Memorial Hospice House for their loving care of Mr. Rowland.

Visitation will be Friday, July 13 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Graveside services are Saturday, July 14 at 9:00 a.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander, officiated by Rev. John Bailey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, 4018 W. Capitol Ave., Little Rock, AR 72205.
