Evelyn Waldrum, age 92, of Amity, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018, at her home. She was born on June 26, 1926 in Pocola, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jasper Monroe Fouts and Minnie Reynolds Fouts. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Elliott Waldrum; her daughter-in-law, Tammy Waldrum; her great-grandson, Toby Allen Henthorn; her grandson-in-law, Travis Allen Henthorn; three brothers, J. D. Fouts, Melvin Fouts and Ben Fouts; three sisters, Pearl Fouts, Mildred Cannon and Audrey Crews; and a special friend, John Fletcher. She had worked for many years for the Amity Water Department and the Amity Public Schools. She is survived by two children, Mary Kitchens and Tommy Waldrum and his wife, Tonya, all of Amity; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Othel Fouts of Huntington, Indiana; her sister, Virgie Crews of Glenwood; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 17, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with John McAnally and Joe May officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jones Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Damon Daniels, Tim Daniels, Charles Ducote, Robbie Wilson, Billy Todd and George Howell. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dr. Matthew Hulsey, Dr. Jeffery Tauth and John Michael Fletcher. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
