Evelyn May Jean Shockey age 75 of Arkadelphia died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in Little Rock. She was born January 23, 1936 in the DeRoche Community the daughter of the late Ira and Mittie Owens Flowers. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Fred, A. J., Coy "Cotton", Roy and Elmer Flowers.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, Clarence Shockey; two daughters, Shenna May and Terri Jones both of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; one brother, John Flowers of Gurdon, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Ty May and wife, Allison; Shannon May; three great-grandchildren, Renee and Brooke Burtness and Nathaniel May.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, March 11th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Flowers officiating. Burial will be in DeRoche Cemetery near Bismarck. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
