Evelyn Golden

Evelyn Golden age 87 of the Caney Community near Bismarck, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at her home. She was born August 20, 1934 to the late Odie and Vera Hughes Efird. Evelyn was an LPN for many years. Evelyn was a member of Caney Missionary Baptist Church.

Evelyn enjoyed working outdoors and sitting on the front porch with her girls. She loved her church and family very much.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fay Golden; her son, Danny Fay Golden; a grandson, Ronnie Decker; a son-in-law, Jimmy Addington; a brother, Otis Efird and a sister, Christine Pierce.

Survivors are her daughters, Sharon Bettis (Kenneth) and Denise Addington both of Caney and Judy Cox (David) of Garland, Tevas; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM Monday, October 11, 2021 at Caney Missionary Baptist Church.

Services will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Ralph Ruffin officiating. Interment will be in Prairie Bayou Cemetery.
