Evelyn Burris Conant age 77 of Arkadelphia died Thursday, September 16, 2010 in Hot Springs. She was born September 19, 1932 in Hot Spring County the daughter of Allie and Ethel Chancellor Burris. She was a retired sales clerk for Sterling Stores and a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one sister, LaVerne Floyd.
Survivors include her husband Ross Conant, one sister, Shirley McKin of Arkadelphia, one niece, Linda Robbins and her husband Matthew of Vinemont, Alabama, two nephews, Ken Floyd and his wife Candice of Benton, Keith Floyd of Little Rock and several great nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be 1:30 PM Tuesday, September 21st in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens near Arkadelphia with Rev. Charles Hargett officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Pallbearers will be Ken, Keith, and Justin Floyd, Chuck Burrow, Tony Bell, and Mark Wells. Honorary pallbearers are past and present Deacons of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
