Evelyn Bright

Evelyn Marie Bright, 85, of Conway, AR, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on June 24, 2024. She was born on April 22, 1939, in Lonoke, AR, to Hubert Null and Pearl Elizabeth Edwards.

Evelyn was a talented seamstress whose skill and passion adorned the community of Conway for many years. Her career included notable roles at Kellwood where she crafted clothes for over two decades, she was employee of the month for three straight months and she made Employee of the Year for being over production. After being employed by Kellwood she worked for Levi Strauss for two years, and she dedicated 36 years to Model Cleaners. Her craftsmanship and dedication were admired by many, leaving a lasting impact on those she worked with and served.

In her leisure time, Evelyn found joy in crocheting and had a fondness for collecting angels.

She is preceded in death by her one sister, Bessie Null Hensley, and four brothers, Burnis Null, Joe Null, Vernon Null, and Wayne Null.

Evelyn is survived by her devoted husband, Francis Bright; her two sons, Charles (Janet) Hale and David Hale, both of Conway, AR; her daughter, Karen Bright of Conway, AR; six grandchildren, Kristy Satterfield, Bryan Hale, Misty Burnside, Danny Hale, Hayley Bright, all of Conway, AR, and Gavin Jones of Little Rock, AR; five great-grandchildren, Charles Burnside, Phillip Satterfield, Brooks Hale, Lexi Hale, and Peyton Hale; and her sister, Margaret Cullum of Conway, AR.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Hampton Inn and Suites in Conway, AR, with Tommy Reed officiating.
