Eunice "Josie" H Smith

Eunice Josphine “Josie” Smith, 84, of Sherwood, Arkansas went to be with her Savior April 22, 2025. She was born August 31, 1940 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late John and Carrie Weaver.

Josie was a longtime member of Sherwood First Baptist Church where she was a very active member. She worked in the Nursery and later sang in the choir and put the music books together for the choir members. She loved kids, especially her grandkids. She loved watching their sporting activities, taking them camping and just spending time with family. She was a loving mother and wife and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family.

Josie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Lewis Smith; brothers/sisters Ronald Weaver, Leonard Weaver, Wilma Taylor and Barbara Kelly; granddaughter, Cassidy Smith. She is survived by her sons, Terry Michael Smith (Cindy), Cary Don Smith; grandchildren, Emily (Dash), Ethan (Amanda), Jacob; great grandchildren, Brantley, Luke, Emmalyn, Kimi and Annie June; along with a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home (1921 Main Street). A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Sherwood First Baptist Church with burial following at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
