Euna Marie Bridges Garrett Emmerling, 93, passed away November 2, 2016 in Cabot, Arkansas. She was born in Pope County Arkansas on December 6, 1922 to the late Perry and Wilma Bridges. The oldest of 12 children, Euna grew up in Mountain Springs, Arkansas.

Euna married William Lee Garrett in 1939 and they raised their two children in Arkansas and later in the Los Angeles area. They moved to Oklahoma after retirement. After being widowed, Euna married childhood friend Glen Emmerling. They moved back to Cabot several years ago.

In addition to her parents and both husbands, Euna was preceded in death by brothers James Bridges, Willis Bridges, Allen Bridges and Bill Bridges and great-grandson Hunter Oney.

She is survived by children Shirley and Dennis Avery of Longview, Texas, Robert and Jan Garrett of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Joe and Joyce Feltner of Cabot, Ron and Sandy Emmerling of Swartz Creek, Michigan, Wayne and Sue Emmerling of Durand, Michigan, Larry and Kathy Emmerling of Florida; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Euna is also survived by sisters Faye Fleming, Emma Welch, LaVerne Underwood, Paulette Cochran and Loretta Taylor; and brothers Leon Bridges and Hubert Bridges.

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Briarwood Baptist Church, 1872 Willie Ray Drive, Cabot, Arkansas, 72023. Viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. with funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Bethany Cemetery, Bethany, Oklahoma.
