Eugenia "Jean" (Goss) Russell, 80, of Sherwood passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009. She was born December 22, 1928 in Cabot, Arkansas to Frank and Hettie (Snow) Goss. She was a charter member of Levy Church of Christ.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Jack B. Russell, of Sherwood; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Gene Speights, of North Little Rock; son and daughter-in-law, Danny B. and Nedra Russell, of Benton; sister and brother-in-law, Frankie and Bill Jones, of Sherwood; four grandchildren, Kerri Koteras, Darin Dodson, Marla Holloway and Ryan Russell; and five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph, Aidan, Ellie and Corey. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Ray Goss.
She never met a stranger, was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She was a big fan of good music, basketball and an avid card player.
The family wishes to express their thanks to Baptist Springhill Medical Center and staff for their excellent care of their mother.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Vilonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
