Eugene "Gene" Williams

Gene Williams age 75 of Bismarck passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at his residence. Born in Henderson, Texas to the late James M and Ruthie Mae (Grooms) Williams on August 8, 1944.

Gene, a Vietnam veteran in the United States Army 4th Infantry Division from 1966/1967, he was a Mason and owned a Salvage business.

Gene was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty years Wanda Sue Porterfield Williams (04/02/2019), his daughter Cheryl Denise Williams (05/12/2005), one brother; Steve Williams and two sisters; Joyce and Patricia Williams.  He is survived by two sons, Scotty J. Williams (Debbie) of Hot Springs, Bryan Williams of Breaux Bridge, LA and one daughter,  Donna Jean Cogburn of Bismarck; five granddaughters, Ashlee and Bree Anna Roach, Kari and Brittany Williams, and Megan Williams all of Bismarck and numerous great-grandchildren; four siblings, Lonnie , David and Glenda Williams all of CA  and James (Shirley) Williams of Tyler, Tx.

Technically he did not lose his battle with cancer; when he died the cancer went with him. So, it was a draw!
