Eugene A. Uekman, Sr.

Eugene Anthony Uekman, Sr. of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on May 2, 2022. He was born on January 25, 1932 to Theodore F. Uekman and Clara Deller Uekman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of sixty-one years, Patricia Rose Uekman; and three siblings.

He is survived by his children, Debbie Chandler, Eugene “Tony” Uekman, Jr.  (LeVonna), Gary Uekman (Cheryl), and Joe Uekman (Teresa); ten grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; siblings, Robert Uekman and JoAnn Muschinski; and many nieces and nephews.

Eugene was a life-long Catholic and his parents were founding members of St. Anne.  He graduated in 1950 from Catholic High School. He loved Christ and was a servant of his church. He taught RCIA and enjoyed and lived his life bringing people to the Lord. 

Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church or Catholic High School for Boys.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Monday, May 9, 2022 at St. Anne Catholic Church in North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Sylvania Cemetery, Ward.
