EUELLA BETH GIPSON
of Maumelle, Arkansas
October 3, 1933 - February 9, 2023
Euella Beth Gipson, 89, transitioned into heaven on February 9, 2023. She was born October 3, 1933 in Dalhart, Texas, to Fred and Eula Faye Stirman. She married the love of her life, John Gipson, on June 18, 1953, and they shared almost 70 years together. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Fred Stirman and his wife, Gladine, sister, Loma Howard, brother-in law, Sam Townsend, and her great-grandson, Charlie Erwin that she is holding in heaven today. She is survived by her husband, John; sister, Lucy Townsend; brother-in-law, Dean Howard; her children, Sherri Moffitt (Ron), Kathy Allen (Brooks), and David Gipson (Denise); 5 grandchildren, Chad Bonner (Misti), Kate Bilheimer (Christian), Patrick Erwin (Sarah), Mary Grace Rainey (Cody) and Davis Allen (Emma) and 7 great grandchildren. Her family was the joy of her life.
During their almost 70 years of marriage Beth willingly moved wherever John's preaching opportunities led them. She loved being a preacher's wife and relished her role of ministering to everyone in need. She had a servant's heart and reflected Christ with such grace. She exuded warmth, kindness and quiet wisdom to everyone around her. She never sat still and was always working. She loved to cook and garden and had beautiful blooming flowers. Her greatest joy was cheering on her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in all of their endeavors and preparing big family dinners. She loved the Lord with every fiber of her being and could be found each morning with her Bible in her hand seeking His wisdom and will for her life. She was a role model for all who knew her, truly an angel on earth.
In the last few years, as her mind began to deteriorate, her one constant was her husband, John. While John's voice and pen has preached a lot of powerful sermons, his rock solid example throughout this difficult journey has been the most powerful of all - modeling faith, hope and love. While many people felt that John should put her in a care facility, he was unrelenting in caring for her himself at home. She died peacefully in her own bed. Her last words were to her loving husband and she simply said, "Kiss me."
The family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice Conway for the wonderful care they received. They were such a blessing in her final days. Also a big thank you to her church family, Windsong Church of Christ, for their love and support.
A memorial service will be held at Windsong Church of Christ on February 22, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Windsong Church of Christ, 3 Windsong Drive, North Little Rock, AR 72113 or Arkansas Hospice Conway, 1105 Deer St, #10, Conway, AR 72032.
