Etta Wright

Etta Maxine Mansfield Wright, 94, of Benton, went to be with her Maker on September 20, 2015. She was born on the Mansfield home place, just outside Delight, AR on May 31, 1921, to Beulah and Walter Mansfield.
The family moved to Benton in 1935, and she graduated from Bryant High School in 1939. She married Phillip Harris Wright in 1940. She was active in many things through life including Home Demonstration Club and other creative hobbies, as well as many activities at her church.
She and her husband, Phillip, were one of five couples who formed the Northside Church of Christ congregation in 1946, and she was passionate about its work and her many friends there.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Phillip H. Wright; daughter, Martha Annette Craig; and son, William L. "Bill" Wright.
She is survived by one sister, Mary Hines of Benton; one son, Stephen C. Wright of Benton; son-in-law, Phillip R. Craig of Little Rock; daughter-in-law, Ouida Watkins Wright of Conway. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and spouses, and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in her name to a favorite charity or to the Northside Church of Christ Building Fund.
Reception visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, AR 72015. A service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Northside Church of Christ, 917 N. East Street, Benton, AR. Interment at Smith-Rosemont Cemetery.
