Ethel James

Ethel James, 91, of North Little Rock, originally from Cabot went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 11, 2008. She was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved the Lord, her family, cooking and crappie fishing.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Kenneth) Yielding, of North Little Rock; two sons, Freddy (Genneth) James, of North Little Rock and Larry (Susan) James of Sherwood; grandchildren, Greg Yielding, Gary Yielding, Geff Yielding, Scott Yielding, Karyn Beard, Brad James, and Amanda McMahan; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Helen M. Parks, of Kenner, Louisiana; two brothers, Thomas M. Parks, of Sikeston, Missouri and Charles H. Parks, Jr., of Des Moines, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hugh James; parents, Charles H. and Edna Parks; daughter, Dorothy J. James; an infant girl; brother, Wayne Parks; and three sisters, Jean Cotton, Ann Crawford and Lillian Heard.
Memorials may be made to Baring Cross Baptist Church, 7541 Warden Road, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cabot. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
