Ethel Virginia Walker Britt, of Beebe, Arkansas, born on July 15, 1926 in Jacoby, Louisiana, died June 14, 2015, in Beebe. She was a faithful member of Beebe First Baptist Church for forty-six years, as well as Mary's Lambs Sunday school class. She was the secretary and bookkeeper for Thrifty Beauty Supply in Searcy for twenty-one years.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who valued her family and God above all else.
Ethel is survived by her son, Harold E. Britt, Jr. (Tanya), of Beebe; daughter, Lisa Ruple of Beebe; grandchildren, Angie Belk (Rob) of Springfield, Missouri, Lindsay Mashburn (Chad) of Norman, Oklahoma, and Casey Ruple of Beebe; great-grandchildren, Emma Grace Mashburn and Britt Mashburn, both of Norman, Oklahoma, Jett Belk, Jude Belk and Jillian Belk, all of Springfield, Missouri; sisters, Irene Branch of Hot Springs Village and Geneva Odom of Simsboro, Louisiana; and brother, J. M. Walker, of Bastrop, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty-three years, Harold Britt, three sisters, and two brothers.
Memorials may be made to Beebe First Baptist Church, PO Box 67, Beebe, AR 72012.
Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
