Ernest "Ernie" Irven Lockert, Jr., 87, of Jacksonville passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014. He was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene of Jacksonville, Navy veteran of World War II and a retired Civil Engineer from Illinois Department of Transportation.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary Lockert; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca McClure and Steven Cissell of El Segundo, California and Mary (Beth) and Clifford Sims of Sioux Fall, South Dakota; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
