Out with a bang... "Mr. Hill, You're going to live forever, aren't you?!" said the nurse at the Beebe Retirement Center. "No, I'm going to go out with a bang!" replied Mr. Hill.
Ernest Vay Hill of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord on the 4th of July, 2011 at the age of 100. Born March 7, 1911, he always had a wonderful sense of humor! Ernest was a farmer, dairyman, and carpenter. He loved to hunt, fish and joke around.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Normal; father, Loss Henderson Hill; mother Maudie Lee Hill; brother Bill; sister Ruth; son O'Neal; and grandson Mike Tway.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; daughter Eithel and husband Lawrence Tway of Meterie, Louisiana; daughter-in-law Doris of Beebe; and son Raymon and wife Suzanne of Beebe. He has nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was loved by many nieces, nephews and friends and will be greatly missed.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2011, at Beebe Open Arms Assembly of God, with burial in Antioch Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Antioch Cemetery, c/o Joe Belew, 535 Louie Pruitt Rd., Beebe, AR 72012.
