Ernest Wayne Ekrut, 59, of Pine Bluff, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born on September 27, 1949 in Bosque County, Texas; he was the son of Ernest and Wilma Jean Lewis Ekrut.
Ernest loved fishing and listening to music.
Survivors include his three brothers, Earl (Sherry) Ekrut of Cabot, David (Karen) Ekrut of Donaldson, and John (Fiona) Ekrut of Benton; several nieces, and great nieces and nephews, and great nephews, and all of his friends and extended family at Chapel Pines Group Home in Pine Bluff.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2009 at Huson funeral Home at 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Glover officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30p.m., on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Owley Cemetery in Mt. Ida.
