Ermon Floyd

Ermon "Coonie" Floyd, 85, of Hot Springs, formerly of Clark County, died Sunday, June 3, 2007 in Hot Springs. He was born December 7, 1921 in Clark County, Arkansas, the son of the late Thomas Joseph and Alice Shuffield Floyd.

He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, a Mason, and served in the Army Air Corps in WWII. He was retired from machinery maintenance at Acme Brick Co. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Stafford, and a daughter, Janice Rhodes.

Survivors include a son, Alan Floyd of Malvern; two brothers, Wallace and Ed Floyd; a sister, Ida Adams; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 6th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, Arkadelphia.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7th at Shiloh Cemetery, Arkadelphia, with Rev. Stan Escalante officiating.
