Erlinda Reyes Balleza, 66, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on December 31, 2015. Born in Morong, Rizal, Philippines, to Candida Francisco Reyes and Leonardo Aquino Reyes, she retired in 2008 from her career as a registered nurse at Baptist Health Medical Center after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Arkansas Philippine Association (APA), serving as the organization's Chairman from 2009-11, Gospel Mission of the Philippines, Rosary Prayer Group, and Christ the King Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by her parents and her sisters,Mary Reyes and Rosaline "Baby" Caranza, she is survived by her husband, Cris B. Balleza, Jr.; her daughters, Jennifer Balleza of Atlanta, GA and Jeannette Collins and husband, Will of Fayetteville, AR; and her grandson, Cashel Collins of Fayetteville, AR. Also surviving are her siblings, Efren and wife Mariluz, Johnny and wife Lourdes, Perla, and Susan, and their families.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 8 beginning at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 7:00 at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, January 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church.
