Emmanuel Garrison, 67, of Little Rock, passed away February 29, 2016. He was born in England Arkansas on January 7, 1949 to Herman and Nellie Garrison. He attended high school in England, and then attended college at A M and N in Pine Bluff, Arkansas from 1967-1968. Mr. Garrison served in The United States Armed Forces from August 21, 1968 until May 4, 1975 where he was honorably discharged as an Army Ranger. Mr. Garrison worked as a hospital technician.
Mr. Garrison is survived by one son, Anthony Darrell Williams (Kristi) of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Gwendolyn Brewer of Carol Stream Illinois, Tomika Robinson of California and Hope Garrison of Texas; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Grover Garrison (Janice) and Frank Garrison; four sisters, Nancy Flowers, Bessie Poindexter, Margaret Holloway (Johnnie) and Daisy Neal; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives near and far.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Nellie Garrison; six brothers, Sylvester, Herman, Rome, Samuel, Edward and Willie Garrison; and six sisters, Cora Mae Weatherspoon, Paulena Horn, Emma Carver, Hazel Gillespie, Nellie Marie and Mary Garrison.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, March 8 at 10:00 a.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
