Emilie Marie Mills

Emilie Marie Mills (Schmutzler) of Ward, Arkansas, previously of Naperville, Illinois, passed away June 16, 2022.  She was born October 27, 1942 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Mills; four children, Joanne (Andy) Karabetsos, Stephen (Sonja) Christie, Cheryl (Mike) Mathis, Robert (Kim) Mills Jr.; eleven grandchildren, Matthew, Christina, Hannah, Ethan, Luke, Heather, Justin, Jordan, Kennedy, Katelynn and Hayden; three great-grandchildren, Cole, Kylie and Oliver; and loving niece to Nana Renn.

Emilie spent her earlier years as a stay-at-home mom then resumed her secretarial career when she returned to the workforce.  She married Robert Mills in 1989 and they have been together for thirty-three wonderful years.  Emilie was born and raised in the Chicagoland area and moved to Arkansas in 2013.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, 7407 Henderson Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210.

Family will receive friends and family Wednesday, June 22, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Smith Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Beebe for a Memorial Visitation, and Emilie’s life will be celebrated in Chicago on July 9, 2022.
