Elsie M. Gaylor, 93, of Little Rock, passed away on April 26, 2011. She was born in Arkadelphia to Jim and Lonnie Ellen South McJunkin and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, four sisters, and her husband, Joe Mitchell Gaylor, she is survived by her only child, Darlene Hostetler (widow of Richard Hostetler) of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Rhonda Agent of Sallisaw; grandson, Steve Hostetler and wife, Laurie of Canada; great-granddaughters, Dr. Nerissa Collins (Dr. Scott Collins) of Rochester, Minnesota and Nikki Behan Hostetler, also of Canada; great-grandson Nathan Perry Hostetler (Jen Perry Hostetler) and five great-great-grandchildren, also of Canada. She has one surviving brother, Doyle McJunkin and wife, Sue of Little Rock.
Mrs. Gaylor was a life-long resident of Little Rock, a retired employee of Westinghouse and the Little Rock School System. Her life was dedicated to her family and friends and taking care of others.
Visitation will be Monday, May 2 from 4-6 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Tuesday, May 3 at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Chaplain Scott Martin, followed by interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
