Eloise Bohannon

 

Eloise Bohannon was born September 8, 1930, to Fred and Willa Brakefield. She married the love of her life, William Fay Bohannon January 22, 1948. She would go on to serve as an administrative assistant at Norman School District and bookkeeper at Cloverdale Junior High and J.C. Cook elementary school until her retirement in 1987. She was a faithful Church of Christ member. She attended Hopper Church of Christ in her youth, and later in life attended Mabelvale Church of Christ, where she loved her congregation and felt she was part of a family. On Sundays, she would attend church at the Hopper Church of Christ and on Wednesdays, she would attend Mabelvale Church of Christ.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Fay Bohannon; her son, Robert Stanley Bohannon and brother and sister-in-law J.D. and Dean Brakefield.

 

She is survived by her son and favorite daughter-in-law Tony Bohannon and Debbie Bohannon of Sheridan; four grandchildren, Kevin Bohannon (Amber), Bradley Bohannon, Rachel Waddle (Joseph), and Robin Shepherd (Jeb); four great-grandchildren, Jessica Waddle, Erik Shepherd, Weston Bohannon and her favorite curly headed girl Tessa Bohannon.

 

Memorials may be made to Children’s Home Inc., 5515 Walcott Rd, Paragould, Arkansas 72450, 870-239- 4031.

The family would like to thank The Springs of Park Avenue, Hot Springs for their devout end of life care provided for our mother and grandmother.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Mabelvale Church of Christ beginning at 10:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Hopper Cemetery.
