Elnora Griffin, 74, of North Little Rock, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2006. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. D. Griffin, Jr.; brothers, Earl Jines and Charlie Jines; sisters, Louise Ritter, Minnie Kathryn Rogers and Syble Lee; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Janssen. Surviving Elnora are her daughters, Marie Louise Weaver and husband, Dean, and Noell Rebecca Janssen and her husband, Mike; sister, Stella Smith; grandchildren, Chris Weaver and his wife Ambra, Jason Weaver, Nicholas Weaver, Jessica Janssen, Jordan Janssen and Jon Michael Janssen; and great-grandchildren, Katelyn Marie Weaver, Kyleigh Weaver and Vivian Weaver, and soon to be born, Landon Weaver; nephew, Jimmy Ritter and a large extended family.
She enjoyed a 37 year career in Real Estate, loved gardening and bird watching, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Elnora was the epitome of a Southern lady, and will be dearly missed by all her family and her large circle of friends.
Visitation will be this evening, Thursday, May 11, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 1922 Topf Road, No. Little Rock. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 12, 2006, at Lakewood United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Carroll Jackson, followed by burial in Oakland Cemetery in Little Rock.
