Elmer F. Damm died on September 11, 2011 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born to Eula and Elmer Damm on September 17, 1924 in Trinity Hospital in Little Rock. He graduated from Little Rock High School and briefly attended the University of Arkansas. A Navy and Merchant Marine Veteran, he served aboard the troopship, "USAT George W. Goethals," which landed troops on the Normandy Beach on "D" Day. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. Elmer retired from Graybar Electric Co. as Field Sales Manager after 35 years of service.
A member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church for many years, he served as a vestry member, usher, Chairman of the Outreach Committee and treasurer. Preceded in death by his parents and a son, Gary Richard Damm, he is survived by his loving wife, Eddie Jo; son, Dr. Douglas D. Damm, an Oral Pathologist in Lexington, Kentucky, and his wife, Leslie; and two grandchildren, Cody and Courtney Damm.
Services will be held on Monday, September 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. The family will greet friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be private at Roselawn Memorial Park.
