Ellen Sue Brown

Ellen Sue Brown, 77, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away June 18, 2021. She was born December 28, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Walter and Betty Cantrell.

She had so many names; Mom, Nana, Nana Sue, MeMaw, Susie Q, Sister Sue, wife and friend. She was loved by all who knew her and made friends where ever she went. She went to cosmetology school in 1978 and by 1980 she had her own shop in Levy, Arkansas called Sue’s Styling Salon.

She leaves behind a loving family including her husband, Harvey Ferrell; children, Connie Anderson (Phil) of Nashville, Tennessee, Thomas Brown of Little Rock, Arkansas, Keith Hogue (Anita) of Lonoke, Arkansas, James Kirby, Michael Ferrell (Dana) of Oak Grove, Louisiana; grandchildren, Cory Anderson (Kassie) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Derik Brown (ShanShan) of Maumelle, Arkansas, Avery Hogue of Lonoke, Arkansas, Alex Wools (Sadie) of Lonoke, Arkansas, Haley Kirby, Jamie Kirby of Conway, Arkansas, Dewey Ferrell and Caden Ferrell, Bobby Joe Willington and Jacey Thornhill of Oak Grove, Louisiana; as well as five great grandchildren and three sisters; Kay Dollar, Sheena Hare (Freddie) and Gail Chance (Mike).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Betty Cantrell; her sister, Charlene Williams; and her brother-in-law, Jack Dollar.

Funeral service will be at 11:00AM Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107) with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
