Ellan Bishop McKenzie, a long time resident of Arkansas, passed away December 22, 2008. A service will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Saint James United Methodist Church, Little Rock, officiated by Rev. Greg Schick.
She was proud to have been born in Clarksville, Arkansas to Glenn and Agnes Bishop. From her humble start in life, she became an artist, educator, and student of The Holy Bible. Ellan's professional background included many years teaching in public schools, service with the Arkansas Department of Education, numerous Art Centers, and universities. Many who were inspired by her life and love became true friends.
Ellan and her extended family extend thanks to everyone that brought love and kindness over the years. Her devoted sons, Kinch and Kyle are blessed with the company of cousins Alice Gibbons of Ozark, Jo Lewis of Rogers, the Holdens of Clarksville and California, the Luebke family of Stuttgart and all others who knew her.
Memoriams can be made to The Arkansas Arts Center, Mid Southern Watercolor Association, American Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.
