Ella Richardson

October 17, 1942 — June 23, 2021

Ella Richardson

On June 23, 2021 the world lost an amazing lady who we all loved and admired.   Ella “Jazzie” Mae Richardson, 78, of Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Saviour.  She was born on October 17, 1942 in Hensley, Arkansas to the late Will and Mittie (McGhee) Halton.

Ella loved the Lord and was a member of First Assembly of God.  Ella was known as a “diva”, who was all about that jazz.  She loved people and was so kind and loving, making everyone she encountered feel extra special.  Ella always went out of her way to do anything for others.  She was a phenomenal cook who perfected warm banana pudding piled high with meringue and fried chicken.  Ella loved chicken and would cook it every time the family got together, so often in fact, that the family grew tired of eating fried chicken at every get together!  Ella worked hard providing for her family and owned a janitorial service for over twenty years.  She was the glue that held her family together.

Waiting for Ella at the pearly gates are her husband, Elmer Richardson, Sr.; son, Elmer Richardson, Jr.; parents, Will and Mittie Halton; and several brothers and sisters.

Ella leaves behind to celebrate her life her son, Wendell Richardson; daughter, Terri Richardson; three sisters: Judy Halton, Rachael Jordan, and Omae Mitchell; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who love Ella and will miss her always.
