Elizabeth Thomas Thornton, 90, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on June 10, 2008 at Oak Bend Medical Center in Richmond, Texas. She was born July 9, 1917 the daughter of the late Adam and Minnie Thomas of Prescott, Arkansas.

Elizabeth was the widow of Herman Thornton. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillie Mae Burke and Geneva Allen Terry. She is survived by one son, Robert H. Thornton and wife, Ginger; granddaughter, Lauren Rocha; and great-grandson, Anthony Rocha-Molina, all of Sugar Land, Texas; along with many beloved relatives, nephews, nieces and friends.

She was an active long-time member of Central Baptist Church, North Little Rock, and a member of the Albright Sunday School class. She retired as Executive Secretary of Faulkner County Board of Education in Conway. Prior to this she worked a number of years as a secretary for the North Little Rock schools. In earlier years she was very active in community activities, P.T.A and her church.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
