Elizabeth Ann Sarmiento, 80, of Little Rock, went to her eternal rest on April 5, 2015. Ann was born in Enola, Arkansas on August 5, 1934 to Raymond Boyd Smith and Sabra Elizabeth Taylor Smith. At the age of four, the family moved to North Little Rock where she grew up. Most of her professional life was spent as a secretary, retiring from Stephens Diversified Leasing, Inc. as the corporate secretary.
Ann had three children born to the union with Frank Mallory Lemon, Sherry Diane, Ted Alan and Michael Anthony "Tony." She was a longtime member of Windsong Church of Christ, formerly 6th & Izard, where she was active in many capacities. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, both parents and both sons.
Ann and Ray married in 1988 and lived in North Little Rock, Maumelle and Little Rock. She is survived by daughter, Sherry Diane Brantley (Gerald) of Austin, Texas; brother, Tommy Smith (Carol) of Bartonville, Texas; stepson, Scott Sarmiento; one step-granddaughter, Jessica Sterling; two nieces and three great-nieces. Although she was keenly interested in people, she complained that she couldn't remember details about anything. She loved bridge and reading, and in her younger years, she played several sports and liked to garden.
Services will be held on Friday, April 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Windsong Church of Christ, officiated by Mr. Keith Harris, followed by interment at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church.
