Elizabeth Marks

Elizabeth Ann Marks, 86, of Little Rock, passed away November 2, 2016. She was born in Magnolia, Arkansas to Mike and Elizabeth Lewis Kelley, and was a member of Pulaski Heights Baptist Church. She belonged to Tri Delta at the University of Arkansas, was a President of the CARTI Auxiliary, and a leading organizer of the Festival of Trees. She played tennis at the Pleasant Valley Country Club for over 40 years.

Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, V. Waner Marks, she is survived by her sons, Dr. Stephen Marks (Melissa) and Philip Marks (Phyllis), both of Little Rock and Michael Marks (Vickie) of Gainesville, Georgia; grandchildren, Matthew Marks (Mary Margaret) and Daniel Marks (Courtney) of Little Rock, Laura Kahle (Matt) of St. Louis, MO, Christine Brett (Tyler) of Little Rock, Phillip Marks of Dallas, Melissa Marks of Gainesville, Sarah Marks of Little Rock and Shannon McClure (Clint) of Plumervillle; great-grandchildren, William, Charlie, Howard, Conley, Olivia, Emma, Emma Kate and Finn; and her personal assistant for over 27 years, Stella Cupps.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 5 at 1:00 p.m., preceded by visitation starting at 12:00 noon, at Little Rock Funeral Home. Dr. Randy Hyde will officiate. Interment will take place on Saturday, November 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights Baptist Church, 2200 Kavanaugh, Little Rock, AR 72205.
