Manie Elizabeth Higgs age 74, of Longview, Texas, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at her home in Longview, Texas. She was born October 24, 1943 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late William F. and Manie Louise Terrell Whitten. Bettie was a 1962 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Isabelle Higgs.
Survivors are her husband of fifty-six years, Don Higgs of Longview, Texas; two daughters, Megan Weaver and husband, Mark of Baytown, Texas, Margo Singery of Longview, Texas; two sons, Matthew Higgs and wife, Aimee of Middleton, Ohio and Mark Whitten Higgs of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Katie McClain, Taylor Singery and husband, Kevin Thomas, Charles Singery, Jeff Weaver, Greg Weaver, Olivia Higgs, Andrew Higgs, Samantha Higgs, Gabriel Higgs, Caroline Higgs, Issac Higgs and Presley Higgs; great-grandchildren, London Thomas, Pearson Thomas, Gunner Chancey, Sparrow McClain and Maci J. Brewington and numerous family, loved ones and friends.
Memorial visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 4th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Graveside service will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
