Elizabeth Ann Barling of Conway, Arkansas peacefully passed away at her home on April 5, 2023 at the age of 81.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Careeda Griggers, and her son, David Robert 'Bobby' Barling. She is survived by her husband, William 'Bill' Robert Barling; her daughter, Rebecca 'Becki' Barling; her grandchildren, Dustin Emerson, Ashley Emerson, Rachel McCown, Kelli Emerson, Kyle Jacobs, Mariah Barling, and Loreli 'Oliver' Barling; and her many great grandchildren, Tori, Waylon, Hunter, Wyatt, Cooper, Cash, Norah, Aiden, and Aurora; as well as many other family and friends.

Ann was born in Conway, Arkansas on February 8, 1942. She graduated from UALR in 1984 with a Master's Degree in Social Work. She retired in 2020 from Arkansas Family Counseling and Health Clinic where she worked as a social worker. On December 21, 1962 she married the love of her life, William Barling. On November 14, 1965 and April 3, 1969 respectively, she welcomed her daughter and son into the world.

Ann was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, watching westerns and was an avid Razorback fan. Ann was a breath of fresh air in this world and she never met a stranger. She was a spiritual woman and enjoyed attending church and singing in the choir with her husband. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm on April 22, 2023 at Griffin Leggett in Conway, Arkansas. Rev. Nancy Rainwater will officiate. Condolences may be offered on line at griffinleggettconway.com.
