Elisabeth Agnes Butler Pate

Elisabeth Agnes Butler Pate, age 86, of Hot Springs, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.

She was born on March 23, 1935, in Wells, Austria, the daughter of Frederick Haager and Angela Auer Haager. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Kenneth Butler; one son, Danial Butler; one daughter, Sarah Butler; and one brother, Fritz Haggar.

Elisabeth was a devout Christian, wife, mother of four, grandmother, and great-grandmother, with a passion for cooking, gardening and serving others. She was loved greatly and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Clay Pate; two daughters and one son-in-law, Myra Baldwin of San Antonio, Texas and Janice and Tim Helms of Forney, Texas; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Angela Vela, Agnes Heitzinger and Trudy Trejo; one brother, Joseph Haager; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 27, 2021, with Pastor Ted Thevaos officiating in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Lowery, Kevin Williams, Jeremy Blackwood and Malachi Chaput.
