Clyde Elgie Dixon age 89 of Arkadelphia died Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in Arkadelphia. He was born November 9, 1927 the son of Henry C. "Bud" and Lillie Mae Whitworth Dixon. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII, retired after 40 years as a conductor for Union Pacific Railroad and was a member of Third Street Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death on August 16th of this year by his wife of 68 years, Mary Elizabeth Dixon one son, Ronald Elgie Dixon; and three brothers, William, George Edward and Joe Dixon.

Survivors include one son, Rickey Joe Dixon and wife, Laura, two granddaughters and three great grandchildren, two sisters, Helen Smith and Mary Holcomb both of Arkadelphia, two brothers, Doyle Dixon of Arkadelphia and Royal Dixon of Benton.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, November 18th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Bro. Greg Latham officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 PM Friday till service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Randy Dixon, James David Smith, Gerald Wayne Smith, Jerry Tomblin, Nicky Mahan and Jim Everett.

Memorials may be made to Third Street Baptist Church.
