Elbert Franklin Lewis, 76, of Benton went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday evening April 18, 2018. Elbert was born August 31, 1941 to the late Franklin and Nettie Lewis in Benton, Arkansas.
Elbert was a member of the Ten Mile Baptist Church. Elbert was a retired iron worker and a member of the local 321 Iron Workers Union in Little Rock, he also loved mechanics and working in his garden.
Elbert is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Elmer, Earnest and Hulon Lewis. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years Louise Lewis; three sons: Franklin Dewayne Lewis of Benton, Terry Glen Lewis and wife Donna of Benton and Michael Allen Lewis and wife Denise of Traskwood; six grandchildren: Eddy Lewis, Hannah Crutchfield and husband James, Notie Cotton and husband Keith, Ashlie Dintleman, Rachel Lewis and Cody Lewis; seven great-grandchildren; one brother: Robert Lewis and wife Nancy of Hot Springs and his precious 4 legged fur baby "Socks"; many other family members, church family and friends who will miss him greatly.
Visitation-Reception will be held on Sunday April 22, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Services will be Monday at 1:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home located at 322 N. Market Street, Benton, AR, 72015.
